Which choir is this?
Hello David,
The Choir you ask about on the website sang at the Hippodrome in Hemsworth; the occasion was Speech Day. I think it was 1959. I can actually remember the songs we sang.
They were: -
1 Non Nobis Domine (Not unto us O Lord)
2. Come Music Makers
I looked at the photograph several times before I recognised myself.

Dave,
I have a little response to Jean Tallett's information about the choir. We didn't sing those songs at the Nov. 1959 Speech Day when we were Fourth Formers, it was 1958. I remember this from the design of the School dresses of my friends! The actual Speech Day took place on 5th November 1958, but we didn't have the photo taken until after Easter the following year, when we were in Summer Uniform. So in a way, we are both correct, Jean.
