Current Affairs Society

1946-47

We had only one meeting of this Society during the last school year, when the school delegates to the Council of Education in World Citizenship Conference, which was held at London on January 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th, 1947, gave us their reports of the speeches made by J. B. Priestley, Sir Stafford Cripps and many other prominent men from all spheres of our national life. Other school activities prevented our holding any more meetings but I hope that during the next school year the Society will get well into its stride.

Our thanks are due to Mr. Smith who "interfered" only when advice was needed, and to Butt who was an efficient secretary.
