In 1927 there was one First Year Form, three Second Year Forms; two Third Years; three Fourth Years and one Fifth Year Form. Probably 4C was so named because the pupils studied Commercial subjects such as Book-Keeping, Typing and Shorthand, and Commercial Arithmetic. In the summer term of 1928 they took the Elementary Stage Examinations of the Royal Society For the Encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce, London. (Founded 1754, Incorporated 1847).

Mr. Collette had joined the Staff in 1925, and was in charge of the organisation and supervision of this Commercial Curriculum from 1926 onwards.

Hilda joined the school in the second intake at 13+. Although in Talbot House initially, when the third house was introduced in her mid-career she was transferred reluctantly to Price.
