3. A blazer badge from the 1940s

This badge was part of Irene Wright's blazer. Thank you, Irene. 

4. Yorkshire Schools Athletics Badge

Those pupils who came first or second in the Yorkshire Schools Athletics Championships and reached the National Schools Standards, were selected to represent the county in their chosen event(s) in the All-England Schools Championships. This is the badge with which they were presented. If successful in these championships, some were selected to represent the North of England against the South.

This book stayed with us for the duration of our HGS stay. A comprehensive document covering subject performance, exam. results, form positions, behaviour, age comparisons, group sizes, school and external representative honours, House involvement, physical development........
