Swimming Gala 1940

Hemsworth Swimming Gala July 1940

Price House went a step nearer to winning one of the many cups at HGS by easily winning the school's annual swimming gala at the Frickley Welfare baths on Tuesday. Mr. H. Hood, instructor at the baths, was the judge, and Messrs. J. A. Storer, L.T Hyde, T. Manning, and J. Nelson, members of the school staff acted as officials. Presentations were made to Miss. Kenwood, a member of the staff, and Mrs. Hyde for their assistance to the girls during the year, and Miss. Doreen Lawton thanked the whole staff for their help. Mr. R.W. Hamilton (headmaster) responded.

The final House placings were:

4. Talbot 23.5
